His celebration, which saw him run down the touchline, swinging his shirt above his head, is iconic. It was a game that had everything; individual brilliance, Roy Keane getting sent off, Peter Schmeichel saving Dennis Bergkamps penalty and a pitch invasion. It was a special year for United as they went on to win a famous treble but the replay at Villa Park against Arsenal is one that sticks long in the memory for those involved. The two teams will meet again, 20 years later, in the fourth round of the competition at the Emirates, and you can listen to the match live on talkSPORT.Heres what Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had to say about that match. The celebrations after the final whistle5

Ryan Giggs

When I got the ball, my feeling was that I was having a bit of a nightmare, Giggs said.Id come on for Jesper Blomqvist after an hour and I kept giving the ball away, so I took the decision that next time I got the ball I was going to have a little dribble. So thats what I did. And before you knew it, it was in the back of the net.It wasnt until I was leaving the ground that I realised it was a good goal. Afew reporters grabbed me and asked if that was the best goal Id ever scored.Ryan Giggs scores his magnificent solo goal5

I thought Id scored a few better and it wasnt until I watched it that I realised I had beaten that many men.It was pure adrenalin, just beating players and not thinking too much about it.And what about that celebration?I dont know where that came from or why I did it! he said. It was one of those out of body experiences.Would I do it again? Probably not...but then again you dont know what you would do after.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

“The semi-final in 99 is such an important game,” said Solskjaer, who will be in charge of United when they face Arsenal in the fourth round of the competition on Friday.“When Peter (Schmeichel) saves that pen from Dennis Bergkamp, that gives us the advantage and we win the treble.“If Bergkamp had have scored, they’d have won the double. That’s just how small the margins are, and I think that’s the standout for me.Ronny Johnson, Jaap Stam and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer celebrate in the dressing room5

“I was substituted so I watched Giggsy’s goal from the sidelines and what a goal that was.“I think that was the one highlight in the FA Cup, apart from walking out on the pitch at Wembley in 99.“That was a proud moment for me because growing up in Norway that’s the game you look forward to and always broadcast live on telly.“I still remember Norman Whiteside’s left-footed curler after Kevin Moran was sent off, so that was the one game that we knew we were going to watch.”

Gary Neville

It was the best game of football Ive ever played in, and I think all of us say the same thing, he said. The penalty save, Roy Keanes sending off, down to 10 men, a pitch invasion and Ryans goal… It was the only time in a football match where I ever smiled when I was playing. Thats the only time I have done that in a pressure moment, because it was enjoyable as well as exciting.Peter Schmeichel had done his thigh, so I was taking the goal-kicks. I walked towards the fans to take one and smiled, thinking, This is unbelievable, this! You know when you just feel, This is something special.Peter Schmeichel celebrating Manchester United’s win5

I think it did top the Bayern game in the Champions League final, because we didnt play well in that gameI always remember Phil [Nevilles brother] giving the penalty away and me thinking, Oh my God, not you! recalled Neville. Then Schmeichel saved it and you think Wow!I dont remember the moment when Ryan picked up the ball but when it went in, I was just screaming.I always remember, after the game, we were being carried off the pitch, but Tony Adams and Lee Dixon were standing outside our changing-room to shake our hands. Thats the one big thing that stands out for me.I remember thinking Bloody hell, theyre proper guys these two.’ So well done to them to do that.
